Step inside
Find the true problem. Fix it. Then leave it alone.
That’s Dr. Barton’s philosophy of chiropractic care, in her own words. Pain is a warning that something in the body isn’t right; painkillers can quiet the warning while the problem carries on. She looks for the cause.
1
Find it
A thorough history and a careful exam: how you move and bend, your posture, strength, balance and reflexes. The more we know, the better the plan.
2
Fix it
Hands-on chiropractic adjustments, with massage therapy and rehab exercises where they help, instead of medicine that may only mask the pain.
3
Leave it alone
No unnecessary treatments. Dr. Barton aims to get you better in the shortest time without cutting corners on your care.

Our practice message
Why a doctor of chiropractic?
This message has greeted visitors on the Barton Chiropractic website for years. It hangs here the way a sampler hangs in a front room.
And from the office’s own sign by the door: chiropractic is about health and positivity. While we’re in the office, we talk about uplifting things that add to our good health and inner peace. Thank you!
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic because…
- I honor the inborn potential of everyone to be truly healthy.
- I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope.
- I choose to care for the patient with the disease, not the disease.
- I wish to assist rather than intrude; to free rather than to control.
- I seek to correct the cause, not its effect.
- I know doctors do not heal, only the body can heal itself.
- I have been called to serve others.
- I want to make a difference.
- Every day I get to witness miracles.
- I know it is right!
